‘GEORGIA MATTERS’: Ted Cruz warns of possible Warnock win, says Dem lies about voting record

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz on Tuesday issued a sharp warning to Americans across the country about what he thinks could happen if incumbent Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock wins Georgia’s runoff against Republican Herschel Walker next month.

Speaking to Fox News Digital after a rally with Walker and South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham in Powder Springs, Ga., Cruz tried to explain the difference between a 50-50 split-power Senate between Republicans and Democrats and a 51 – 49 Senate, where Democrats would have greater control and would be able to pass broader legislation.

“If the Democrats win here, Joe Biden can quickly fill the federal courts with radicals, radicals who would take your liberties and mine, who would take your rights to freedom of religion, your rights to free speech, your Second Amendment rights . It also brings us incredibly close [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer is capable of ending the filibuster,” Cruz said.

Cruz noted that Democrats’ previous efforts to end the Senate filibuster — a rule that requires most legislation to pass the panel by a 60-vote majority — were largely led by Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin, DW.Va were stopped. and Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., due to their opposition to such an amendment and the current 50-50 split between the two parties.

“If the Democrats win here in Georgia, we are one vote away from ending the filibuster. And I think if that happens, Joe Manchin would switch to Chuck Schumer. They would end the filibuster,” he said.

“Here’s what the Democrats want to do when they end the filibuster: They want to strike down every voter integrity law in America, strike down every photo identification law in America, legalize ballot collection across America, register millions of illegal aliens to vote all in registering millions of thugs and criminals across America to vote across America,” he said.

“They also want to make DC a state that has two new Democratic senators, and they want to register millions of illegal aliens and make them citizens. They want to do all this so the Democrats stay in power forever because their priority is power,” he added.

Cruz also warned that a Democratic majority could try to grab the US Supreme Court by increasing the number of judges.

“Georgia is important. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I was here last week. That’s why I’m here this week because December 6 is important in Georgia,” he said.

When asked if Warnock touted the legislation as a co-sponsor as proof of his impartiality along the campaign trail of his work with Cruz, Cruz said he was “glad” that the bill, which would create a new highway from Texas through Georgia and the United States, passed Atlantic, was adopted because it was “good” for their respective states.

However, he added that Warnock used an example of bipartisanship to cover up lies about his Senate voting results, which were not favored by most Georgians.

“It tells you something that he’s fighting for it when his election result was the most liberal of any senator in the US Senate. It was left hard left,” Cruz said.

“He voted for open borders. He and I disagreed on that. He voted to confirm pro-police abolitionists for senior DOJ positions. We were against it,” he said, before mentioning a number of other policy points he said supports Warnock, including those “that caused rampant inflation”.

“Imagine for a second that you woke up, that you were Raphael Warnock. You can’t run with what you really believe in, which is socialism, because the people of Georgia don’t believe that,” he added. “Democrats win when they lie effectively about their record and what they believe. And Republicans win when we effectively tell the truth, because the people of Georgia, and for that matter the people of America, believe in sensible conservative values.”
