The bank holiday weekend comes with a chance of showers

Chances of rain will increase for Friday and part of the bank holiday weekend. If you have outdoor plans on Friday, have an umbrella ready. A storm system along the Gulf Coast will rise northeast, driving isolated showers across southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry. Widespread showers are possible Friday morning and afternoon. A few dry hours are also mixed in. Futurecast shows isolated showers around 4 p.m. on Friday. Dry weather returns on Friday evening and should set the stage for a comfortable start to the weekend. Weather wise, Saturday is harvest day for the next couple. Temperatures will reach the upper 60s to 70s around Savannah this weekend. If you’re far inland on Saturday, the highs may only reach the low 60s. Sunday brings another good chance of rain showers in our area. If you travel on Sunday to mark the end of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, you may encounter some rain and wet pavement. Predicted rain totals through Sunday range from 0.25″-0.5″ near the I-95 corridor, with higher totals far inland. Early next week the sun should return with highs in the 70s.
