Welcome to another installment of The Drop List, where we, self-proclaimed shoppers, bring you the lowdown on the last few weeks’ most anticipated releases and fascinating launches. We hope you consider this a one stop shop for discovering your new favorite brand, upcoming designer or fun collaboration right out of the gate. (And if you’re craving even more Clever content, don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter.)
November 1, 2022 – In early November, Lulu and Georgia launched their latest and greatest – an enviable range of rugs made in collaboration with interior designer Jake Arnold. Richly textured and crafted from organic materials, the nine-piece collection is just what you need to bring something down-to-earth to your space in 2023. Pro tip? Layer more than one for added drama!
November 2, 2022 – With the holiday races officially upon us, we think a few seasonal treats will help get you in the festive mood. Enter Home Dough, the organic cookie dough brand that just reintroduced their seasonal molasses ginger spice cookie. Enjoy these gourmet treats with loved ones and a warm cup of cocoa, or perhaps prepare a few for Santa’s upcoming visit.
November 2, 2022 – If your future holiday feast plans include a turkey centerpiece, Staff’s latest offering should help. Last month the brand that previously brought you some of the trendiest toilet accessories out there released a friendly looking turkey baster in an easy to spot pink and purple colourway. Use as intended or for other culinary feats such as separating egg yolks and portioning pancake batter on the griddle.
November 3, 2022 – Creating a delicious looking tablescape is easy with the latest from Byredo and Laila Gohar. In November, the fragrance and lifestyle brand teamed up with the founder of Gohar World to create a collection of delicious-looking holiday items, including curated candle sets, spud-like votive holders and those eye-catching printed cotton tablecloths that any foodie would love.
November 3, 2022 – If digital design editor Sydney Gore’s stay at the Ulysses hasn’t convinced you to book a trip to the high-design hotel, we think this newly released merch might. Last month, New York-based hotelier Ash debuted Souvenirs: a range of highly stylish home and lifestyle pieces inspired by his hotel stays, from Ulysses in Baltimore to The Siren Hotel in Detroit. We set our sights on this cozy looking cotton coat, specially designed for Ulysses and hand block printed in Bagru, India.
November 3, 2022 – Nothing gets our hearts racing like a particularly pretty rug, and fashion icon Iris Apfel’s collaboration with Ruggable seems like the perfect excuse to spruce up any tired-looking tufted accessory. The best part? Like all offerings from Ruggable, each stylish piece is machine friendly. We’d snag this vintage-inspired design with a pretty border and a moth motif throughout.
November 8, 2022 – Material’s new glassware is just the ticket if you’re in the mood to revamp your current collection of tumblers (or expect a new bar cart under the tree this year). This tall set comes in your choice of cloudy green, cloudy gray or a classic clear borosilicate glass, although we’re tempted to take more than one to mix and match colours.
November 8, 2022 – Microsoft’s latest collaboration with Liberty London is the definition of intelligent design. Bringing Microsoft’s signature floral pattern to Microsoft’s Surface Pro 9, the Limited Edition Keyboard is stylishly functional, with a design to securely store and charge the Surface Slim Pen 2 and a cheerful tone-on-tone blue palette to complement your brighten screen time. The high-tech keyboard features fast and accurate typing, backlit keys and a large multi-touch glass trackpad for easy navigation.
November 11, 2022 – We can never get enough of Eny Lee Parker, and last month the Clever-acclaimed artist and designer unveiled her latest exhibition, titled “Soft & Sensitive,” at the Lambert et Fils showroom in New York City. Although the show will run until December 16, you can also snag one of the splurge-worthy pieces right now on Eny’s website. For a particularly beautiful home upgrade, we’d personally go for this snake light, which comes in both metallic and ceramic finishes.
November 12, 2022 – After collaborating with the Louvre and the Met, Casetify has just unveiled its latest artist-focused collaboration – this time with M+, Asia’s first global museum of contemporary visual culture, and legendary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The collaboration brings Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now (on display at M+’s gallery space until May 2023) to life through four eye-catching phone cases featuring some of the artist’s most notable works.
November 15, 2022 – Susan Alexandra (another Clever favourite!) and Ketel One Botanical have teamed up for a very dreamy crockery and beverage accessories collaboration for enjoying your favorite brand of spirits in style. Within the collection you will find glass straws adorned with fruit, beaded and embroidered coasters and an all-beaded shoulder bag just the right size for your bottle of choice – any of which would be an ideal choice for your favorite hostess.
November 15, 2022 – If you already have an upcoming cabin winter vacation on the books, we think the latest from Brooklinen and Pendleton will be a useful pick-up. Whether you’re sitting by the fireplace or lying on the couch watching Netflix, it will be a real treat to wrap yourself in this cotton and wool throw. Each one is made at Oregon’s Pendleton Mill from wool sourced from sustainable breeders and farms.
11/16/2022 – Adding salt or pepper to the meal becomes extra special with this stunning grinder designed by Fabien Cappello for Hem. Inspired by the vibrancy of Mexico, the highly sculptural table accessory is crafted from solid beech wood and individually hand painted so no two are alike.
11/16/2022 – The newest cookware team from Great Jones and California clothing brand Lisa Says Gah is just what you need to build a more stylish kitchen collection. Incorporating each brand’s love of cheerful prints and thoughtful design, the collection’s limited-edition Dutch Oven and Aprons have a vintage flair and cottagecore feel that we find particularly charming for the upcoming holidays.
11/24/2022 – We think this beautiful suitcase from Rimowa is just the thing to surprise your favorite wine lover. Protecting your most prized Bordeaux, Merlot and Champagne wines is easy with this highly durable aluminum container, available in one and now a twelve bottle version. Inside you’ll find padded padding that wedges bottlenecks to keep them in place, as well as a thoughtful support system that stabilizes the case when held open. Very cheers-worthy!
11/25/2022 – For your favorite baker, this bundle from Basquet will be a dream come true. This highly giftable set includes delicious mixes like cookie dough banana bread, chocolate cake mix, ready-to-eat treats like Partake’s chocolate chip cookies, and even non-foodie treats like a flavorful puzzle from Piecework.
11/30/2022 – A practical yet stylish holiday drinks set makes the perfect gift to get your loved one off on the right foot in the new year. Even better is one that perfectly complements her favorite Hill House Home clothing or homewares – like this duo with a very sweet floral print.
11/30/2022 – Any of Farm Girl Flowers’ fresh arrangements would make a lovely Christmas present, although we think this aromatic lavender plant is definitely the most unique option. Affectionately named “Garten Variety” after Ina Garten, you can even decorate your new lavender plant with customizable sparkles and dried orange slices, making it an extra festive (and flavorful) decor piece.
