Westerly winds are expected to gust at 30 to 40 mph from late morning through evening, potentially exceeding 40 mph at times in the afternoon hours. This could cause unsecured objects to be thrown and small branches to be knocked over, which could result in some power outages. Some snow showers may sweep across the White Mountains in the afternoon, causing white-out conditions amid afternoon squalls.

Chance of snow 30 percent. Wind chill values as low as 35 below.
The forecast for elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in northern New Hampshire. Today: summit covered. Scattered snow showers in the afternoon. Highs in the low 20s. Westerly winds around 35 mph, increasing to around 45 mph, gusting to 55 mph in the afternoon. The chance of snow is 40 percent. Wind chill values as low as 15 below.
